Finding out what could possibly go wrong when you’re a white guy from the suburbs placed directly into a state prison’s gang-tier during a massive corruption investigation.

Watching the movie “Sinners” and discussing it with Dan somehow reminded me of this time and made me want to share a comment.
Although the evil is supernatural that is done to the African Americans, at least in most of the film, the racial conflict is there, which reminded me of the events of the post.
Daemon’s murderous character, as he did shoot, I think 6, and kill 2, was demonic. What a horrendous situation for Dan to handle. And to me he handled it perfectly. I remember we were eventually able to visit, but instead of in person. When hugs were still allowed, on other sides of plexiglass with a small circle of tiny hole to talk through.
Looking back, sort of triggered by the current evil in high places, makes me wonder why Dan was held so long before being placed, and why he was paired with a psychopath, when finally placed?
Visiting Dan, sometimes with his wheelchair bound 100+ year old grandpa , who also just wanted to support him, was so poignant a time.
